On August 8th, Michael Bay’s take on yet another beloved children’s cartoon will hit theatres. Of course, the existence (and upcoming release) of the polarizing director’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot isn’t news at this point in time. What is, though, is the fact that both Paramount Pictures and Microsoft have partnered together to develop a tie-in video game, which will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 platform.
Dubbed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Training Lair, the Kinect-focused game – which will be free to download – will task players with using their limbs to slice, dice and swat things that appear on-screen, while dodging incoming attacks and avoiding bombs. If all of that sounds familiar, that’s because its design seems to mimic that of Fruit Ninja Kinect.
According to a source close to the game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Training Lair will bring its mix of motion gaming and film assets to Xbox LIVE Arcade on Tuesday, July 22.
